Points of Punctuation are a calm sea of peaceful moments.
What did you see today that caused you to go “aahhh”? What did you hear today that made you think? What touch happened today that filled you with gratitude or made you feel loved, worthy, or valued? What smell made you want to breathe it in again? What experience moved your heart deeply or brought a belly laugh (they feel so, so good!)?
Did you stop in any of these instances to really ‘take in’ the experience? Did the addiction to your device steal your awareness from the present moment?
Or did life call you to hurry up to the next thing?
Your moments matter as well as everyone’s that cross your path and whose path you cross. We are intertwined, you know, us humans.
You are unique and still the same.
You get up in the morning, groom and eat or have your coffee, scurry to a full day of doings, manage evening routines of kids and dinner, struggle to sleep, to wake again tomorrow and question why your spirits are low.
Life is funny. It seems it is all about ‘hurry up to get to the next thing’ which is simply running down the road to the finish! And isn’t the finish at the end where you’d say too many important moments weren’t cherished?
Could it be you skip the time to feel the joys, wonders, and significance of fully appreciating what makes life what it is? ‘To-do’ the day leaves the mystical place of silence or contemplation flapping in the gusty breeze that you make as you get through the days of your life.
Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.
— John Lennon
Points of Punctuation are an antidote.
Little stories make you contemplate and remind you of what you miss as your daily footprints create tracks you leave behind. The stories’ messages stretch deeper down inside where the quiet takes it in. Thought-provoking writings entice you into the silence of their impact…just for a moment. Additional quotes give rise to expanding your thoughts, refocusing your attention to a place of respite.
This is where the quiet whisper of peace resides in you.
Points of Punctuation are moments that gently harmonize your thoughts and feelings!
How to’s of Points of Punctuation:
- Each day a new five-minute-or-less Points of Punctuation (PoP) will be posted
- You can read or listen every day
- You can listen to current or previous recordings
- These are short enough to tune in, for example, on the way to the grocery store, during your morning coffee, or just before bed
- PoPs intentionally act as ‘peace droplets’ in the midst of fear and chaos, with a rippling effect of positive thoughts
A Note – there are 1,440 minutes in a day.
5 minutes leaves you with 1,435 minutes to do the rest of your day!
